About
ARGROVE
Founded in Sydney, Australia in 1977 by Janice Cosgrove and Paul Arico, ARGROVE was born from a shared conviction that clothing should be made to endure - in craft, in character, and in time.
Heritage
Janice brought with her a lineage of precision tailoring, shaped by years of working with some of Sydney's most discerning dressmakers.
Paul's eye for style and business - honed through growing up in Europe and the UK - gave the brand its considered sensibility.
Together, they opened their first boutique on Oxford Street, Paddington, followed by a second at the Imperial Arcade. For a decade, ARGROVE dressed those who understood the difference between fashion and style.
A Considered Pause
In 1987, the boutiques closed. The decision was deliberate — a refusal to compromise the integrity of the work in the face of an industry accelerating beyond its own means. The name rested, but the ethos did not.
Revival
ARGROVE returned as something rarer: a capsule-focused, limited-edition concept. Each collection is small by design - conceived slowly, produced carefully, and released without urgency. There are no seasons in the conventional sense. Only pieces worth making.
Materials
Every garment is made from materials chosen for their provenance and longevity. The new ARGROVE currently works exclusively with premium Japanese Mulberry silk and certified organic cotton - fibres selected not for trend, but for the way they move, age, and hold their form over years of wear.
Slow Fashion
We believe in making less, and making it well.
ARGROVE is not built on volume. It is built on the understanding that the most sustainable garment is one you keep for a lifetime. Each piece is an invitation to buy once, and buy thoughtfully.
